The garden is spectacular, awash with colour even down the wall next to the train shed. Perfume of lavender and roses wafted on the breeze .

Terry's new arches tidied rambling roses and busy climbers and lent new interest to old paths. He made raised beds for planting and created a planting area with paths and steps in an unused area.

The vegetable garden survived the extraordinary heat and promises a good harvest of tomatoes, green beans and many other vegetables. An aromatic collection of herbs also flourish here.

This month, the fruit trees are laden and the raspberries are beginning to ripen. The falcon was often seen flying round the top of the tower.

For this first blog post, a special thank you to Margaret who found a wasteland and transformed it into a beautiful and tranquil garden.
