There's plenty to see and do at the London Museum of Water & Steam; from our hands-on workshops and interactive Science Shows to exploring our Waterworks Gallery and Splash Zone. We have a range of unique and unforgettable learning opportunities for Early Years through to Key Stage 3.
We are open to school visits on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. As we are a small museum, we can only accommodate a maximum of 60 pupils per day.
** In February 2025 the museum received £2.6 million pounds to restore our Great Engine House. The construction will commence in January 2026 and there will be scaffolding on the exterior parts of the building which will affect our carpark and close the splash zone from June 2026. The splash zone will not be available for 2026 June and July School Visits, and Coach parking will not be available from June 2026 onward.
To ensure that classes continue to have a fun filled visit to the museum we are revamping our Wild Play Garden with new toys, interactives, and imagination play. We will make this space exclusive for schools use during your visit.
