STEAM Explorer
The London Museum of Water & Steam presents STEAM Explorer, a specialized water engineering course for youth aged 13-17.
Participation in this course is free thanks to the generous support and funding of the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators.
The Explorers learn about the history of water in London, how the engines on this site work and how to care for them. Culminating in the experience of firing up the boiler and assisting in the running of the engines for a Steam Up Event.

"My son loved every minute of being a STEAM Explorer. Under Richard’s expert and supportive guidance, he discovered a passion for engineering that has greatly boosted his confidence. He has now found his spark at the museum, thriving in an environment where he can get hands-on with the engines doing something he is truly proud of. His enthusiasm has grown so much that he is now a regular volunteer, eager to deepen his knowledge and continue to get his hands dirty! The experience has been life-changing, giving him a renewed sense of purpose and direction."
