10th May @ 8:00 pm
Join us at the London Museum of Water & Steam for STEAM Explorer! A specialized water engineering course for youth supported by the Water Conservation Trust. We are inviting youth interested in STEM careers to try there hands at water related engineering. No experience necessary, enthusiasm required!
We encourage any youth interested in volunteering at the London Museum of Water & Steam as an engineer to first take part in STEAM Explorer.
STEAM Explorers is aimed at young people aged 13-17. There are 15 spots, so do get your applications in quickly. Participation in the club is free thanks to the generous support and funding of the Water Conservation Trust.
STEAM Explorers will run over three weekends in May. The Explorers will learn about the history of water in London and how it is connected to this site, how the engines on this site work and how to take care of them, culminating in the experience of firing up the boiler and assisting in the running of the Steam Engines for a Steam Up Event.
