Based in the former Kew Bridge Waterworks, the Museum provides a unique setting for any event, from a corporate gathering, to a lavish wedding banquet. Within our walls, you are surrounded by the very engines that defined an era and which were in a very literal sense the beating heart of London.

At the London Museum of Water & Steam you can host an extraordinary evening event at a truly iconic hidden gem.

We operate a dry hire service upon which you can dazzle your guests with a unique collection of steam engines within a listed historic pumping station.

We are able to accomodate a wide variety of events. From an intimate dinner nestled amongst Victorian Engines to a celebration that make use of the wide variety of experiences available on site.

Our primary and largest event space is the Steam Hall at the very centre of the museum.

With a capacity of 85 cabaret, 100 theatre/ long table or 150 standing, this baseline dry hire fee further includes tables, chairs (not pictured), security and use of the Babcock Room (perfect for caterers); coming to £3,000.

For a truly unforgettable experience, add the operation of our historic steam engines and immerse your guests in the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of a working Victorian pumping station.

Our collection spans from the 19th century and is an incredible add on available upon the dry hire of the Steam Hall, the baseline cost comes to an additional £2,500 which includes three Steam Hall rotative engines and the Boulton & Watt.

Want to arrive to your event in style? Add trips on our Steam locomotive Thomas Wicksteed. We may be the only venue in London able to offer your guests trips on a working steam train!
