How to find us
The best way to get to travel to the Museum is by public transport. You can easily find us by bus, main line train and London underground. Discover more below.
The London Museum of Water & Steam is located on Green Dragon Lane in Brentford, West London. You can find us just around the corner from Kew Bridge.
Our post code is TW8 0EN.
By car
We have a small car park, however we recommend coming to us without a car wherever possible. The car park will be closed on Brentford FC home match fixture dates, as well as other dates throughout the year for private events.
Information about alternative car parks can be found on the Hounslow Borough Council and Richmond Borough Council websites.
If you would like to reserve disabled parking please email us at [email protected]. Please note, we may not be able to reserve parking when the car park is closed or privately hired.
By bike
There are a small number of cycle racks available in front of the Museum.
By bus
You can travel to the Museum by a number of different bus routes: the 65 (Ealing to Kingston), the 237 (Hounslow to White City), the 267 (Fulwell to Hammersmith), and the 391 (Richmond to Fulham). The number 65 also stops outside The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.
By train
You can visit by Museum both by main line train and by London Underground.
Our nearest main line train station is Kew Bridge (South West Trains from Waterloo via Clapham Junction), which is approximately a 5 minutes walk way.
Our nearest underground stations are Gunnersbury (District Line, then the 237 or 267 bus or approximately a 20 minute walk), Kew Gardens (District Line, then the 391 bus from Sandycombe Road which is a 2 minute walk from the station towards Kew Gardens), or South Ealing (Piccadilly Line, then the 65 bus to Kew Bridge).
