Tramway & Light Railway Society
30th December @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Tramway & Light Railway Society are at the Museum with their tramway model on display Monday December 30! Find them in the Babcock room with the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers.
The Thames Valley Group was established in July 1994 at a meeting in the tea room at what was then known as the Kew Bridge Steam Museum (now the London Museum of Water and Steam). It has held monthly meetings ever since.
The layout ‘Kew Bridge’ depicts the museum and the area near as it was in the years up to 1935, when trams ran on the routes along Kew Bridge Road in front of the Museum. The buildings depicted are exact replicas of those which were there in 1935 and are still there today. The model was completed in 2001 – the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Shepherds Bush to Kew Bridge tramway at Easter 1901.
Reminder that December 28-31 is our New Years Steam Up! This means our engines will be in motion and that ticket pricing will be a bit different. Tickets for this weekend can be purchased here.
