The Living Thames – Film Screening

17th August 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a screening of award-winning documentary The Living Thames.

Thursday 17th August 2023 1:30-4:00pm

The film will be followed by a Q&A session with director/producer Dorothy Leiper, archaeologist Dr Fiona Haughey and hydraulics expert Rob Casey.

Additionally, Dr Haughey will bring an array of ancient artefacts found along the Thames and will explain what they tell us about the people who have lived here.

Introduced by Sir David Attenborough, and presented by environmentalist Chris Baines, The Living Thames gives a voice to the many people with a hand in making the Thames Estuary the great river it is. Despite its sometimes chequered and difficult history, this film illustrates how the estuary and its environs have not only flourished but evolved and adapted, promising hope for the future.

How to find us.
