This exhibition brings together a body of work by artist Matthew Dowell who participated in a residency conducting research and developed their practice in response to the Museum’s collections. Drawing from the imagery and symbolism used by the early water companies and architectural details within the museum, he used new technological processes to create relief sculptures and tiles. This creates new connections between the historic collection and adds contemporary context within the museum.  

The exhibition will be displayed throughout the museum in selected spaces, and Matthew has also created family trails and activity sheets. Please ask for one of these at the front desk!
