Summer Holidays – Play! with Water

9th August 2023 @ 10:00 am - 20th August 2023 @ 4:00 pm

We’re halfway through our summer holidays and this time we’re playing with water! We’re open Wednesday to Sunday 10am until 4pm.

It’s water – it comes out of our taps, and it makes up our oceans. But how does it move? What can we make with it? How can we play with it? And why does it even exist? Join us as we explore the next theme of our summer Play programming – Water!

What’s on?

August 9-20: Join us on weekdays at 11am for our Water Movers Science Show, followed by our brilliantly popular Bubble Disco at 1pm in the garden. Throughout each day we’ll be looking at other ways we can play with and explore water.

August 12 from 10am: Explore the different tastes of water with Milin Patel, international water sommelier, who will be delivering an interactive water tasting experience.

August 17 from 1.30pm: Join us for a special screening of the award winning documentary The Living Thames. The film will be followed by a Q&A session with director/producer Dorothy Leiper, archaeologist Dr Fiona Haughey and hydraulics expert Rob Casey. This film screening is suitable for older children and adults, and has a running time of around 1 hr.

Normal admission applies. School holiday activities are free and do not need to be booked in advance.
