Science Showoff – CANCELLED

Join some of London’s most hilarious engineers and scientists for an evening of hilarious stories, jokes and facts.
Since 2011, Science Showoff has been making audiences across the UK giggle, shake and snort with weird and hilarious performances from people who live STEM every day. Host Steve Cross is a veteran of comedy, music and science festivals and he’s joined tonight by some of the funniest people it’s possible to corral around a steam engine on a Saturday night.
Kip is an NHS virologist who responded to a global pandemic by completing her fourth degree and learning to tell jokes on stage.
Anna is a scientist at Oxford by day, and a funny scientist at your local…[checks notes]… museum by night.
Shalaka is a doctor by education, a comedian by choice and a user experience researcher by needing to pay the bills.
Tasmin is a biophysics student in Cambridge who likes jokes. I mean really likes them. She likes them so much that she’s been known to laugh at them. She hopes you enjoy her attempts at making some.
Annabel is a feminist comic who performed at the Camden Fringe 2021. Dec Munro, Angel Comedy, ‘Some of the best new stand ups I’ve seen in a very long time
Zoë has just completed an English Literature PhD, which she assures her parents means that she will be rich and famous any day now. She likes talking about the weird world of the 18th century, why humanities subjects are objectively great, and generally complaining about other people’s shortcomings. Occasionally, the audience laughs.
- Doors open 15 minutes before the show starts.
- One ticket admits one person to the show. A ticket guarantees you a seat, however seats are not allocated and will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
- Over 18s only.
- The Pump and Grind Cafe will be open for refreshments.
