October Half Term – Mini Monsters
29th October 2023 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
The old River Thames was a scary place, full of monster bacteria! Find out where our water comes from and see the science that cleans the mini monsters from London’s water. Plus, with a monster tour, scavenger hunt, and our community art project there’s lots for the whole family to enjoy.
Community Art Project: Saturday 21- Sunday 29
Drop in art sessions. Head to the Steam Hall to design your own water monsters, then cut it out to be displayed!
Monster Scavenger Hunt: Saturday 21- Sunday 29
Use clues to find Monsters all over the museum! Can you find them all?
The scavenger hunt can be collected at the front desk.
Meet the Monsters Tour: Monday 23- Friday 29 at 11am – By Donation
Join us every weekday morning for the ‘Meet the Monster Tour’!
Running time: 20-30 minutes
There will be a limited number of spots each day, so claim your spot with a donation upon arrival at the museum. First come first serve.
Unfortunately if the tour is oversubscribed, we reserve the right to limit numbers.
Water Filtration with Worley: Monday 23- Friday 29: 12:00-13:00 (Drop in Session)
Learn about how to clean water through filtration with Worley volunteers!
Milin Patel: Water Sommelier: Saturday 21- 10:30am to 4:00pm
Milin will be back at the museum for a water tasting experience to “Hydrate the Imagination”!
Discover drinking water culture. Learn to create vocabulary around describing water. Appreciate and respect the value of water.
Train day!: Saturday 28- starting at 11:30
When you arrive at the museum, you can purchase your train ticket at the front desk (cash or card). Train tickets are £1 per person.
