The Twickenham & District Model Railway Club will be displaying in the Babcock room on our Steam Up weekend of 22-23 February. They will have two layouts on display, one that will be an interactive experience for guests to ‘have-a-go’ at a shunting puzzle against the clock. This is a great opportunity to learn more about modelling, and chat with some very talented and passionate modellers.

🚂🚂🚂

The Tramway & Light Railway Society are at the Museum with their tramway model on display Saturday February 22! Find them in the Babcock room. The layout ‘Kew Bridge’ depicts the museum and the area near as it was in the years up to 1935, when trams ran on the routes along Kew Bridge Road in front of the Museum. The buildings depicted are exact replicas of those which were there in 1935 and are still there today.

🚂🚂🚂

Join our Museum Hosts in the Steam Hall for a Water Filtration Workshop! Learn about how water was once cleaned on this site and try your hands at making a water filter yourself! The session will run from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday 18 and Thursday 20 during the half term week!

🚂🚂🚂

Come see objects from our archive up close with an object handling session led by our Collections Officer and team of archive volunteers!
