A Tram Stop in Hounslow – The Founding of Brentford Football Club

6th March 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

£9

On Sunday 6 March, The London Museum of Water & Steam will be hosting a live ‘radio style’ satirical play capturing the events of October 1889 when Brentford Rowing Club held a rather heated meeting, close to the site of the Museum, to discuss starting a football club.

This light-hearted, entertaining, play has been written by lifelong Brentford FC fan, playwright Geoff Buckingham, and is sure to appeal to those who follow The Bees, as well as those who love the history of our town. It examines historical facts about the town, the characters who were involved in the club at that time, their motives, and the arguments for and against starting a football club!  It also looks at the social conditions in 1889 Brentford.

We hope many of you will come along to support this unique event.

There will be two performances: 5.30pm and 7.30pm.   Tickets are £9 per adult and £5 per child.

One ticket admits one person to the show. A ticket guarantees you a seat, however seats are not allocated and will be assigned on a first come first served basis. If you wish to sit with friends please arrive together and on time.

Tickets can be purchased online only, via the Museum’s website. Tickets will go live on Friday 7 January 2022.
