50th Birthday Party

The London Museum of Water & Steam is celebrating its 50th Anniversary on Saturday 8 November, and everyone’s invited to the party!
Join us on Saturday 8 November for a full day of birthday celebrations (10am–9pm) marking fifty years since the founding of the Museum, based on the historic site of the Kew Bridge Waterworks, in 1975
Enjoy a packed programme of family-friendly activities, including birthday crafts, archive tours, live performances from Speak Out, plus steam train rides throughout the day.
From 3pm, the Museum’s mighty engines roar to life for an after-dark Steam Up (3–8pm) – our first ever Museum Late, finishing off with a spectacular firework display at 8.30pm.
Visitors are invited to come dressed for the party – or in 1970s fancy dress to honour the decade the Museum was founded.
And no birthday is complete without some cake!
