Covid-19 safety measures

The wellbeing and safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors continues to be incredibly important to us. We review our Covid-19 policies and safety measures regularly in response to the changing situation and in accordance with government guidelines, and best practice and guidance from the sector.

Please do not visit the museum if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a change or loss in your sense of taste and smell, or you have had a positive LFT or PCR. If you have pre-booked, please email us at and we will be able to change this for you.

Our staff and volunteers will not come to the museum if they are experiencing any of the symptoms above or have tested positive. We will continue to do regular lateral flow tests, whilst free testing remains available.

We kindly ask all visitors to continue to wear a face covering when visiting the Museum, unless exempt. We recognise the hidden disabilities scheme through sunflower lanyards, badges and pins.

Please give our staff, volunteers and other visitors space to help everyone feel safe.

We are continuing with our enhanced cleaning levels, focusing on touch points like handles and interactives. We will provide hand sanitiser stations throughout the Museum.

As a small team, if one or more of our staff becomes unwell we may have to close. If you have pre-booked, we will be in contact as soon as we know. Please check our website and social media in advance of your visit.
