Mini Family Festival @ The Creative Mile

4th September 2021 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Creative Mile is an artist-led celebration of Brentford’s creativity and hidden spaces. The trail, running from the London Museum of Water & Steam down to Johnson’s Island, explores cultural sites, artist studios and temporary exhibition spaces.

Start your exploration of the Creative Mile, by visiting our mini-family festival outside the London Museum of Water & Steam. With different activities on Saturday and Sunday, there’s lots of fun for the whole family!

On Saturday have a go a salt dough sculptures and arts and crafts including knitting and puppets. Or help to create a large 3-d module of Thomas Wicksteed, the Museum’s steam loco. Author, Zoe Antoniades, will be in our storytelling den and selling signed copies of her books, for an amazing discounted price of £5.

On Sunday the salt dough sculptures, and Thomas Wicksteed model are back, and joined by more arts and crafts including paper flower making and community townscapes. Plus Lauren Learns History will be in the storytelling den!

Activities are free, however admission applies if you wish to visit the museum too. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty or painted. Please note the museum car park will be closed.
