Levers, Pulleys and Gears New for Sept 2015!

Pupils will explore the museum and see our magnificent Victorian Steam Engines and other machines. Witnessing these machines will bring the topic of forces to life and will help pupils understand the concepts of levers, pulleys and gears.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Pupils will understand that mechanisms, including levers, pulleys, and gears allow a small force to have a great effect.
  • Pupils will begin to look for causal relationships and identify evidence that supports or refutes their ideas.
